It’s going to be windy on Saturday, really windy.

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.

It is likely to become a warning today. on the Big K Morning Show, AccuWeather's Dean DeVore had this advice:

“General winds on their own can gust to 50-55 miles per hour and then in that late afternoon thunderstorm situation we could even see higher gusts than that,” said DeVore.

The high winds could blow down trees and power lines, so power outages are possible.
Last weekend nearly 100,000 homes lost power in a lengthy wind storm.

Some quick tips:

Make sure your electronic devices are charged in the event of power loss.

Secure or remove anything outside that could blow away.
