As the American Rescue Plan reaches the desk of President Joe Biden, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf explained how the bill will aid the commonwealth.
Gov. Wolf celebrated the passage of the bill and stated that this is the relief the people of Pennsylvania need and deserve.
“I am glad that this crucial bill has passed the House and is on its way to President Biden’s desk,” Gov. Wolf said. “Because it will provide much-needed help to Pennsylvanians who are struggling because of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Later in the statement, Gov. Wolf described that the American Rescue Plan will provide more than $13.7 billion for Pennsylvania’s state and local governments, as well as provide direct payments to over 5.5 million households.
“Pennsylvanians have worked hard to survive this pandemic and reduce case numbers, hospitalizations and deaths throughout the commonwealth.”
