
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Pitt will face a hot team in its first ACC Tournament game Wednesday at 2:30. Georgia Tech (13th seed, 15-17 overall) stormed back from down 11 to beat Florida State 61-60 Tuesday afternoon in Greensboro, Javon Franklin with 10 points and 19 rebounds, Miles Kelly with 21 points. The Yellow Jackets have won six of its last seven games.

The Panthers won both games against the Yellow Jackets in the regular season.
· 71-60 January 14 in Atlanta-Nike Sibande came off the bench with 21 points to spark the win. Jamarius Burton had 19 points, Blake Hinson with 13 points. Deivon Smith had 15 points and 11 rebounds for GT. Panthers held GT to 36% FG, Pitt was a plus 17 in free throws made and a minus five in rebounding.
· 76-68 February 21 at home-Nelly Cummings with 22 points as the Panthers made eight of its last 10 shots and went eight-for-eight from the foul line in the last 10 minutes of the game. Hinson had 19 points. Federiko Federiko with 14 points. Miles Kelly led four Tech players in double figures with 24 points, Ja’von Franklin had 15 points and eight rebounds. Both teams shot 47% FG, Pitt was 19 of 20 from the foul line and a plus-10 in rebounds
Georgia Tech’s only loss since February 15 was against Pitt. Josh Pastner’s team won by 20 at Syracuse and also have wins over Virginia Tech and Miami.
Pitt is 6-9 all-time in the ACC Tournament, the last win March 10, 2020, 81-72 over Wake Forest.
