With an offensive line in flux, there are many questions surrounding how successful the Steelers can be on the offensive side of the ball this upcoming season.
Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey retired, Matt Feiler signed with the L.A. Chargers and the Steelers didn't want to resign Alejandro Villanueva so he went to Baltimore.
The future of the offense hinges on how the line does and with so many changes, there are many that doubt this new group will be good.
But according to Pro Football Focus, the Steelers have three players who rank in the top 32 at their position.
While his best days may be behind him, right guard David DeCastro is still a force to be reckoned with and is near ranked #15 overall in PFF's best guards in football list, with a pass-blocking grade around 80 or higher.
Left guard Kevin Dotson also makes the list at #29 and if it wasn't for his lack of experience, the 24-year-old would likely be higher on the list. In 358 snaps in the NFL, Dotson has a pass-blocking grade higher than 87.2.
At center the Steelers have J.C. Hassenauer who started four games for the Steelers last season, it will likely be 3rd round draft pick Kendrick Green who will get the call in 2021.
Even without taking a pro snap, Green ranks #23 on PFF's list of the 32 best centers going into this season.
Green started as a defensive tackle to guard but also started at center a few times. When he joined the offensive line at Illinois, he raised his grade from 59.0 up to 88.0 this past season.
Left tackle Chuks Okorafor did not make the list for offensive tackles and right tackle Zach Banner only played one game before tearing his ACL last season.
