The 2025 Steelers schedule is out! Here is the full list of games to look forward to:
Before it counts, the Steelers will play three preseason games:
August 9 at 7 p.m. in Jacksonville, August 16 at home against Tampa and wrap up the preseason August 21 in Carolina.
Here are five takeaways after looking at the schedule:
1. The NFL really hopes Aaron Rodgers signs with Pittsburgh
As evidence by his appearance last month on The Pat McAfee Show, only a handful of people know what the future holds for Rodgers. He may not even know what he’s going to do.
But, the NFL certainly hopes that he signs with the Steelers. Taking a look at the schedule, the NFL wants to see Rodgers and the Steelers take on his old team, the Jets Week 1 in New York.
It doesn’t hurt that former Steelers quarterback Justin Fields will likely be the Jets starter, but he isn’t the story. It’s Rodgers.
Week 8 is also another potential revenge game for Rodgers, with the Packers coming to Acrisure Stadium for a primetime game on Sunday Night Football.
2. The Steelers don’t get what they reportedly wanted with their Bye Week
According to sources, the Steelers asked to not have their Bye Week after coming back from Ireland. That wish, if true, was not granted.
The Bye Week comes early in Week 5 for Pittsburgh. That means 13-straight games for the Steelers to finish the season.
3. No holiday games in 2025.
The Steelers were featured in a Christmas Day Netflix game last season against the Kansas City Chiefs at home. They won’t have to suit up on Christmas, or for that matter, on Thanksgiving Thursday.
4. Division opponents a little more spread out this year
It wasn’t until Week 11 last year that the Steelers had a divisional game. November 17, against the Ravens at home.
This season will be a little different with Pittsburgh hosting Cleveland in Week 6, coming off the Bye, and then travel to Cincinnati for a quick turnaround, Thursday Night game in Cincinnati in Week 7.
The end of the season will still be all about the AFC North with the Steelers not playing Baltimore until December 7. Two weeks later, they’ll finish out the season Week 17 in Cleveland and Week 18 at home against the Ravens.
5. Steelers already a 3-point favorite Week One
Las Vegas and sites like FanDuel apparently don’t think Justin Fields can be a top starting QB in the NFL.
With the Steelers still playing the waiting game with Aaron Rodgers, it’s Mason Rudolph’s football team right now.
But even with the quarterback uncertainty, the Steelers are -3 in the way-too-early betting with the Jets at home.
