Adam Crowley and Dorin Dickerson reported the news on Thursday.
They say Rodgers will come into Pittsburgh on Thursday night and will re-sign with the Steelers sometime this weekend.
“I think it’s the best possible outcome for the Steelers,” said former Pitt QB Pat Bostick.
10-6 in his first season with the Steelers, the final numbers 327-498, 65.7% completion, 3322 yards, 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
According to the Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac, the Steelers were reportedly becoming frustrated with a lack of decision from Rodgers and were giving a deadline of May 18, the first day of OTAs.
If Rodgers signs, he will be reunited with his coach from Green Bay, Mike McCarthy.
He would be entering his 22nd NFL season

- 4th in passing touchdowns with 527 (12 behind Peyton Manning for 3rd)
- Tied with Ben Roethlisberger for 5th place in career wins with 166 (6 behind Drew Brees)
- Tied with Lamar Jackson as the top-rated quarterback of all time 102.2
