PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – A couple of injury situations for the Steelers heading into Cincinnati, outside linebacker Alex Highsmith hasn’t practiced all week, but tackle Broderick Jones and guard Isaac Seumalo were able to do some.

Broderick Jones has played every snap this year at left tackle and said he pretty much was able to do everything Thursday at practice, he just wasn’t in as much. It seemed more precautionary with one more practice before the Bengals game.

Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith did not practice for a second straight day with a pectoral injury. He said he is optimistic as he suffered the injury midway through the game and played through it. Not that it isn’t tough after dealing with a groin injury during camp and a high ankle sprain that caused him to miss a couple of games.

“I’m someone who really takes care of my body and does a lot extra to make sure these things don’t happen,” Highsmith said. “Just got to continue to rehab. It’s frustrating things like this continue to pop up. I got to find something different I’m doing. It’s frustrating because I care and I put a lot of work into my body. I just have to continue to rehab and get it right."
