Are the Ravens looking past the Steelers in playoffs?

Harbaugh's comments on Flowers coming back next week perk up some ears

Are the Baltimore Ravens overlooking the Pittsburgh Steelers?

Speaking on Thursday, Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh confirmed that the team’s top wide receiver will be unable to play on Saturday night, but that he “will get started again next week.”

Well, he can only get started again if the Ravens beat the Steelers.

Remember back in 2017 when it seemed like the Steelers overlooked the Jacksonville Jaguars and got beat badly at home?

With the Ravens a nearly 10-point favorite, at home, coming off four straight wins, Baltimore is expected to win.

But, the Steelers are singularly focused on Baltimore. The Ravens have to be, at least, looking ahead a bit toward the divisional round.

That is something that should benefit the Steelers.

Then, add Harbaugh’s comments about getting Flowers back next week and you have prime billboard material for the Steelers.

“If I’m Mike Tomlin, I’m playing that thing on loop,” said Adam Crowley on the Fan Morning Show. “And these things matter.”

“Why can’t we say that Harbaugh might be overlooking the Steelers just a smidge here?” asked Crowley.

“They absolutely are,” Dorin Dickerson responded.

With the exception of a 17-point Baltimore win last game, Steelers/Ravens is usually decided by one score.

If it’s a close game at the end, you have to give the Steelers a decent chance to win.

If it’s close…the Ravens will have the opportunity to choke.

It could happen.
