Mark Kaboly is right!
It would be better for the Steelers to begin the playoffs on the road compared to playing a first-round game at home, beat up.
Simply put, it’s about health, not home field.
“I’d much rather see them go on the road the first round of the playoffs and be 100 percent healthy at home rather than be at home and dealing with some injuries,” said Kaboly.
Kaboly says he believes the Steelers are good enough to win on the road with a healthy team.
At home banged up though? Just take a look at the loss to the Ravens this past weekend.
George Pickens missing made, or at least appeared, to make the offense look one-dimensional. Even though he isn’t involved in every play, Pickens demands attention.
On defense, T.J. Watt was not himself.
They need him to be as close to 100 percent as possible and apparently, cornerback DeShon Elliott makes a huge difference on defense.
Pickens and Elliott were both full in practice on Monday, the only practice before the Steelers take on the Kansas City Chiefs at home Christmas Day.
T.J. Watt was also full on Monday.
For the playoffs sake, let’s hope, if they all play, they’re close to 100 percent and not on a pitch county.
