Mr. McFeely of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” fame isn’t a fan of the Buffalo Bills using Mr. Rogers to clown the Steelers.
After the Bills “smashed” the Steelers 38-3 at Orchard Park Sunday afternoon, the Bills social media team posted a video clip from the show, showing Rogers in front of an easel talking about how he likes to draw with crayons.
He draws a big red “L” on the paper.
The Bills captioned the video with “Pittsburgh, your friendly neighbor has a message.”
Well that didn’t make Mr. McFeely feel very friendly.
He responded on Tuesday, saying “I guess (the Buffalo Bills) like to celebrate regular season wins like a Super Bowl.”
“This was posted after the Steelers loss. The Buffalo Bills wouldn’t be able to depict a Super Bowl trophy if Bob Ross painted it for them.”
Shots fired, Mr. McFeely!
The Bills famously went to four Super Bowls in a row in the early 1990s and didn’t win any of them.
With Josh Allen leading the Bills now, Buffalo is viewed as a real Super Bowl contender.
It’s safe to say Mr. McFeely won’t be rooting for that.
