This isn’t going to make Browns fans in Cleveland happy, but Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is getting some love from one of Ohio’s favorite sons.
On Wednesday, The Lakers LeBron James tweeted out a shout out to Coach Tomlin.
“S/O MIKE TOMLIN JUST CAUSE!!! Salute brother!”
The Akron native spent 11 of 17 season in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavilers, winning a championship there in 2016.
On Wednesday afternoon Tomlin responded.
Currently with the Steelers at 9-0, many consider Tomlin to be the top choice for Coach of the Year.
Many others feel that Tomlin doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
In 14 seasons with the Steelers, he has never had a losing record and guaranteed another winning record for 2020.
Tomlin also recently passed Tony Dungy as the winningest African American head coach in NFL history.
Defensive tackle Cam Heyward said that Tomlin isn’t just a great black coach, but a great coach in general.
It looks like with James, Tomlin is finally getting some of the respect he deserves.
