PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – His father Jim gave Mike McCarthy his first offensive coordinator job with the Saints, now NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports the Steelers have talked to Jim Haslett’s son, Chase, about becoming the Steelers tight ends coach and passing game coordinator.
Haslett is currently in his first year as the New Orleans tight ends coach after working with McCarthy in Dallas from 2020-24 in various roles including assistant tight ends coach.
The 33-year-old was a quarterback at Illinois before transferring to IUP and finishing up there in 2015. He was a two-year graduate assistant at Nebraska and then spent a year at Mississippi State.
