We won’t be seeing “High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens in the stands at LECOM Park anymore this spring.

The Pirates announced Wednesday that infielder Cole Tucker, along with seven other players were optioned/reassigned.

Along with Tucker, right-handed pitchers Sean Poppen and Miguel Yajure were optioned to minor league camp. They remain on the 40-man roster.

Non-roster invitees to camp, infielder Will Craig, outfielder Troy Stokes, Jr. and catchers Joe Hudson and Andrew Susac have been reassigned.

With Tucker out of the competition for short stop, it now comes down to Erik Gonzalez and Kevin Newman.

Gonzalez Is currently batting .400 with 12 hits in 30 at bats, while Newman is batting .700 with 14 hits in 20 at bats.

Tucker was batting .174 with 4 hits in 23 at bats. Tucker spent most of the 2020 season in the outfield, only playing second base once.
