Pitt basketball forward Abdoul Karim Coulibaly has enter the NCAA transfer portal, the fifth Panther and third starter to do so in a month.
"We appreciate Karim's time and efforts here with our program and wish him luck as he looks to continue his career elsewhere," said head coach Jeff Capel in a statement.
Xavier Johnson, Au'Diese Toney, Terrell Brownand Gerald Drumgoole are the other players that have left the program.
Coulibaly was expected to play a bigger role within the Panthers program in 2021-22.
Now, Justin Champagnie is the only member of the 2019 four-man recruiting class left and he is considering entering the NBA Draft.
The Mali native averaged 5.2 point, 3.9 rebounds and 0.9 in 20 starts this past season. He appeared in 22 games.
Head coach Jeff Capel now has his work cut out for him. Six scholarships are now available within the program. There are currently no commitments for next season.
