The widow of Dwayne Haskins has clarified details about the public service that will take place this Friday.

Kalabrya Haskins says a public visitation will occur on April 22 from 9- 11 a.m. at the Center Alliance Church on the North Side. That will be followed by a full service from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. She adds that flowers will be accepted at the church.

In the statement Mrs. Haskins says:

I want to thank everyone for their continuous outpour of kindness and love for my husband during this extremely difficult time.

For those that have asked for clarity, regarding official services, there will be a public celebration of life for my husband, Dwayne Haskins, Jr., where his legacy will be honored with stories told from teammates, coaches, friends, family and loved ones.

Ohio State, where Haskins played college football, paid tribute to the late quarterback by putting his initials on the seven-yard line (the number he wore for the Buckeyes) during their Spring Game this past Saturday.

Ohio State’s star quarterback CJ Stroud also paid tribute to Haskins by wearing his jersey and players wore a “DH” on the back of their helmets.

In addition, a memorial service will be held in his hometown of Rockway Township, New Jersey on April 23.

A vigil is set to take place in Potomac, Maryland, where he played high school football, the day after.

Haskins was killed while crossing a highway in South Florida in the early hours of April 9. He was hit by a dump truck. An investigation is on-going.
