Diontae Johnson to miss Steelers game after getting excuse from Ravens

Doesn’t look like a Diontae Johnson revenge game is in store for this Saturday in Baltimore.

The Ravens released a statement Monday afternoon addressing Johnson:

“We have mutually agreed with Diontae Johnson to excuse him from team activities this week.”

Johnson was suspended by the Ravens earlier this month.

Johnson out for Saturday’s game will have no effect on Baltimore’s offensive plans.

Since being traded to Baltimore from Carolina, Johnson has appeared in four games, starting in one.

He has five total targets and one catch for six yards during his tenure with the Ravens.

Johnson was taken the Steelers in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, spending his first five seasons in Pittsburgh before he was traded to Carolina for cornerback Donte Jackson and a pick in last year’s draft.

Johnson was traded by the Panthers to Baltimore in late October, along with a sixth-rounder, for a 2025 fifth-round draft pick.

It certainly looks like Johnson is going to be departing his third team in less than a year.
