DK Metcalf starring in new 'extended reality' thriller 'Asteroid'

Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf won't make his 2025 television debut until the Pittsburgh travels to New York to open up the regular season on September 7 against the Jets.

But he will make his big screen debut next week as part of a new "extended reality" thriller movie "Asteroid."

The movie, according to Deadline, is about a group that travels to an asteroid "for the opportunity to mine for wealth beyond their wildest dreams."

The movie debuting at the Venice Film Festival next week also stars Hailee Steinfeld, actress and wife of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Ron Pearlman and more.

Metcalf's character has not been announced.

After it's debut, "Asteroid" will be made available on the Google Android XR.
