PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – We knew Steelers safety Kyle Dugger was out because of a hand injury, Friday we learned more as the veteran said he is now healthy and ready to return. Also, what linebacker Patrick Queen was dealing with Sunday in Baltimore.
Dugger said it was a cut on his hand from previous weeks that kept getting reopened. There was concern for the safety of the hand and it potentially getting infected with bacteria getting into it. He said the Steelers medical staff was concerned about it potentially spreading and getting into the bone.
He said it was frustrating not being able to play, but wasn’t really scared by the issue.
Linebacker Patrick Queen said he’s still a little sore from his abdomen/glute injury. He said it was a bruise on his back and two plays in a row he got hit in that spot and it became aggravated. Queen said there was another play where he said he made a wrong move and it clinched up on him.
“That kind of game, what was at stake, definitely had to play,” Queen said.
