The push is on to get Adam Frazier into the 2021 MLB All-Star game.
The Pirates second baseman is a finalist along with Atlanta Braves' Ozzie Albies and Los Angeles Dodgers' Gavin Lux.
There is no question, Frazier is currently the best option for the National League at second.
He is currently batting .331 with four home runs and 28 RBI with an OPS of .874.
Albies is batting .253 with 12 home runs, 46 RBI and .815 OPS. Lux is batting .230 with six home runs, 32 RBI and .672 OPS.
It should also be noted Frazier is the Pirates lead off hitting so his RBI chances are a little lower.
Frazier also leads the Majors with 98 hits, one in front of Cincinnati's Nick Castellanos.
Frazier tells the MLB Network he found out he was a finalist while watching TV before Sunday afternoon's game in St.
Louis.
He says being an All-Star would be a dream come true.
"As a kid you grow up, you want to be an All-Star, want to make it to the Major Leagues in general, but to be an All-Star too, that'd be . . . something special," said Frazier.
Voting for the All-Star Game in Colorado is open until July 1 at 1:59 p.m.
