How much does Minkah Fitzpatrick respect the Pittsburgh Steelers organization?

Enough to make sure no one steps on the logo on the floor inside the team’s locker room on the South Side facility.

ESPN Steelers reporter Brooke Pryor says the Steelers safety spoke with members of the Steelers staff and the logo on the carpet was cleaned and roped off, so no one can step on it.

The Penguins have a similar practice of not stepping on their logo. If someone does, they will likely be asked to leave.

Not stepping on a logo in a locker room is a sign of respect toward the organization and team you are a part of.

If anyone was going to make sure the practice was carried out in Pittsburgh, It’s Fitzpatrick.

He’s respected and admired by his teammates for his play on the field, the way he study’s the game and small details, along with how he carries himself off the field.

His coaches say that he’s never satisfied and is always looking to get better.

That might explain why when he needed to take some time away from the team early in camp to handle a family issue, he only needed to say two words to Head Coach Mike Tomlin.

“You definitely appreciated that,” Fitzpatrick said. “I said two words to him and knew what it was when I had to leave and he told me ‘go’. Go be there for your family. Go do what you have to do. It wasn’t an issue at all.”

With all this "respect the logo" talk you may harken back to when JuJu Smith-Schuster was doing TikTok dances on opponents 50-yard-line logos during the 2020 season.
