One of Ben Roethlisberger’s biggest rivals on the field is saying the retired Steelers quarterback is one of the most underrated QBs in NFL history.
Retired Baltimore Ravens Defensive end Terrell Suggs, who played against Roethlisberger for 15 years said.
“He got more rings than (Aaron) Rodgers, he got more rings than (Drew) Brees,” said Suggs on the Rory & Mal podcast. “He got more rings than (Dan) Marino.”
The PM Team talked about the claim on Monday.
Chris Mueller says he doesn’t think Roethlisberger is underrated.
Mullsy says Roethlisberger is likely a first-ballot Hall of Famer and that shows he isn’t underrated at all.
He adds that Roethlisberger was a better QB than Eli Manning and the Giants QB got into the Hall of Fame on his first ballot.
Donny Chedrick agrees with Mullsy and Roethlisberger is rated right where he should be.
Andrew Fillipponi believes Suggs comments actually overrates Roethlisberger because he put him on the same level as Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady.
Poni says that Roethlisberger is in the tier right below that.
