Four-time Super Bowl champion Mike Wagner passes away

A key piece of the Steel Curtain and a four-time Super Bowl champion is being remembered.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are mourning the loss of Mike Wagner.

The longtime Pittsburgh Steelers safety spent his entire 10-year NFL career in Pittsburgh, becoming a cornerstone of the famed Steel Curtain defense.

Wagner played on four Super Bowl championship teams in the 1970s and delivered clutch interceptions in both Super Bowl IX and X to help secure Lombardi Trophies.

A two-time Pro Bowler and 2020 inductee into the Steelers Hall of Honor.

Team President Art Rooney II called Wagner a “tremendous player and an integral part of some of the most successful teams in Pittsburgh Steelers history.”

Mike Wagner was 76.
