A look at the injury report for Sunday against the Rams

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – UPDATED-the injury re-injury of the hamstring for Pat Freiermuth is not minor, the team putting the tight end on injured reserve on Saturday morning. Freiermuth had hoped to return to the lineup this week.

Diontae Johnson has been activated from the injured list and told 93.7 The Fan he will play Sunday in Los Angeles. To make room on the roster, the team released wide receiver/kick returner Gunner Olszewski.


TJ Watt missed practice Thursday, but returned on Friday and the All-Pro linebacker said the pain is manageable with his heel and finger and he can't do any more harm by playing going forward. He will go.

A pair of offensive linemen are set to return. Dan Moore, Junior will only miss one game due to a knee injury against Raiders and all signs point to him regaining his starting job at left tackle. Guard James Daniels has missed the last couple of games with a groin injury and will return for the matchup against Aaron Donald.

Punter Pressley Harvin has practiced all week and they released back-up Brad Wing during the bye, he will go. Back-up outside linebacker Nick Herbig, limited earlier in the week was full on Friday with a quad injury.

RB Anthony McFarland is still on injured reserve even though he practiced full all week. There is still time for him to be activated to play Sunday against the Rams.
