PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers added a safety while also bringing a Gateway High School grad back home. NFL Network reports the Steelers have a one-year deal with Jaquan Brisker.
Ian Rapoport reports the deal is for $5.5 million.
After leaving the Gators, Brisker started his career at Lackawanna before transferring to Penn State with former Gateway coach Terry Smith. Brisker was the Bears second-round pick in 2022 and is coming off his rookie deal.
The 27-year-old started all 52 games he played with Chicago including 17 last season. He has a pair of seasons over 100 tackles and last year had 93 (52 solo). Brisker has four career interceptions, four forced fumbles, 12 tackles for loss and 21 passes defensed.
