One thing is for sure, the Pittsburgh Pirates will get Nike City Connect jerseys this year.
The new duds will debut on June 27 at PNC Park against the San Diego Padres, but there have been what some believe to be are leaked clues on what the jerseys may look like.
Back in February, what is believed to be the City Connect socks were leaked online and now we are getting some more breadcrumb clues on what the jerseys could look like.
The good people at Pittsburgh Clothing Company have found what they call a “retail leak” of a shirt that may be inspired by the coming jerseys.
The picture, posted online, says “PGH” on the front and is gold.
There is a pattern inside the lettering that one Twitter user points out may be a design that is used on part of the Clemente Bridge.
PCC says the jersey is called a “City Connect Wordmark T-Shirt.”
While it’s still unknown what the jerseys will look like, it appears the “PGH” will be what is featured on the front of the jersey.
Of course, reaction online to the potential jersey designs are either loved or hated by fans.
Ultimately we’ll have to wait for the official design, but it appears we got a big clue on what to expect next month.
