PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He had an amazing season at age 35 and coming back from a groin injury, Steelers captain Cam Heyward named First Team All-Pro while linebacker TJ Watt is on the second team.

It’s the fourth time in his career that Heyward was voted First Team and first since 2021. He played in all 17 games with eight sacks, 71 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, a career-high 11 passes defended and 20 quarterback hits.

Heyward is ranked as the best interior defender in the NFL by Pro Football Focus in his 14th season.

It’s the fifth time for Watt to be named All-Pro, but first time on the Second Team. Previously he was First Team in 2019, 2920, 2021, 2023. He leads the NFL in forced fumbles with six with 11.5 sacks, 19 tackles for loss and 27 quarterback hits. Watt is eighth in the league in sacks, his lowest ranking in a full season since 2018.

The First Team edge rushers this year are Cleveland’s Myles Garrett and Cincinnati’s Trey Hendrickson.

Kicker Chris Boswell is honored as First Team All Pro for the first time leading the NFL with 41 field goals on 44 attempts including 13 of 15 from 50-yards or more.
