Highsmith limited in practice but says he'll be back for Browns game

Full practice report for Wednesday

The first injury report of the week for Steelers/Browns, part 2 is out and there is some encouraging news.

Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith was limited on Wednesday, but told reporters he’ll be back on Sunday against Cleveland.

"Feeling much better,” said Highsmith on Wednesday. “The plan is to go this weekend. Just taking steps in the right direction every single day. Started off with some light reps today, was limited in some things. From Friday to now is feeling so much better."

"It's really a mental thing at this point. I just got to trust it."

Wide receiver Calvin Austin III, currently in the concussion protocol after Sunday’s game in Cincinnati was limited, along with defensive tackle Montravius Adams.

Adams is a week into the 21-day return window on IR.

Cornerback Cory Trice Jr., who has to be taken off IR by Thursday or lost for the season, practiced in full on Wednesday.

The Steelers released running back Jonathan Ward. That opens up a roster spot for Trice, if the Steelers do elevate him.

Wide receiver Mike Williams, running back Najee Harris, safety Minkah Fitzpaterick, guard Isaac Seumalo, tight end MyCole Pruitt, linebacker T.J. Watt and defensive tackles Cam Heyward and Larry Ogunjobi all got a Resting Vet designation.
