The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC have signed a player with local ties.

Defender Robby Dambrot has agreed to a one-year deal with a club option for 2023.

Dambrot, a native of Akron, played at the University of Pittsburgh and his father is Duquesne Dukes men's basketball coach Keith Dambrot.

The 6'2" Dambrot as a full-time starter for the Hounds' divisional foe Loudon United FC last season. He played in 27 games and logged over 2,000 minutes played.

"We are excited to get Robby back to Pittsburgh with his ties to the area," Riverhounds head coach Bob Lilley said. "He is a left-sided defender who can get forward with pace and quality, and he has the size and ability to defend in our system."

The Hounds will get ready for a new season on January 31.
