PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers defensive coordinator Teryl Austin says he doesn’t have concerns as Cam Heyward is staging a hold-in during practices in Latrobe reportedly looking for a restructured contract.
“He’s fine,” Austin said Monday. “He’s done the sleds, all that stuff. I don’t worry about Cam Heyward and him being ready. We’ve been through things were guys haven’t had more practice, but they show up ready to play.”
“He is around. He is in every meeting. He is a leader. The stuff that he feels he has to do, that’s what he’s taken care of. Shoot, our guys are out there playing and he’s doing everything he can until it’s time to get going.”
Steelers practice Monday and Tuesday afternoon before closing camp in Latrobe on Wednesday.
