Steelers QB returns to practice, opens 21-day activation window

Steelers rookie quarterback Will Howard have returned to practice Wednesday but remains on the team’s Reserve/Injured, Designated for Return List.

The Steelers how have 21 days to active Howard or he will be lost for the rest of the season.

Howard began the season on IR after fracturing a bone in his throwing hand during Training Camp.

Taken out of Ohio State in the sixth-round, Howard wasn’t expected to see much, if any playing time in 2025.

The Steelers terminating the contract of quarterback Logan Woodside on Tuesday indicated something like this would be happening soon.
