The Panthers kept the March magic rolling on Friday with a big win against #6 seed Iowa State to move into the round of 32.
One certain Cyclones fan was feeling fairly cocky going into the game against #11 seed and play-in winners Pitt.
It’s definitely one of the strangest stakes to be put on the line for a sporting event, and at this point all we can do is pray for Cyclone Larry and his family jewels.
It must have been a quick feeling of doubt for Larry as the Panthers took a commanding 20-point lead early in the first half, with Iowa State not being able to knock down a field goal for over 10 minutes to start the game.
They gave some glimmer of hope going into the second pulling within 7, but the poor shooting and Pitt defense was too much to overcome.
It doesn’t seem like fans are going to let Larry off the hook for this one either.
