PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) 28 years after leaving Notre Dame to play in the NFL, all-time Steelers great Jerome Bettis has graduated college.
Bettis announced Thursday that he has completed his degree from the Mendoza School of Business at Notre Dame and is an official college graduate.
In 1993, Bettis was drafted 10th overall out of Notre Dame by the Los Angeles Rams.
Three seasons later, Bettis joined the Pittsbrugh Steelers where he completed his Hall-of-Fame career.
Bettis said in a tweet that he hopes his journey can serve as a reminder that education is the true equalizer in life.
