Broderick Jones goes on the attack, responds to fans on social media

Everyone knows social media is the wild west, especially “X” (formally Twitter).

Fans express their frustrations toward athletes and when a loss happens, it isn’t pretty.

There is one thing an athlete can do to make matters worse on social media, responding to “keyboard warriors”.

That’s what Steelers starting offensive lineman Broderick Jones did on Sunday after Pittsburgh fell short in a comeback against the Indianapolis Colts.

One person wrote, “Get Broderick jones off my team dude.”

Jones responded “lol come show me how it’s done then.”

Here are some of the other responses from Jones.

Jones was drafted in the first-round of the 2023 NFL Draft (14th overall).

Joe Starkey and Bob Pompeani said on Monday that it’s never a good idea to respond.

“The easiest thing to do is ignore notifications,” said Pompeani. “You know it’s going to happen. People do it all the time.”

Starkey said it’s never a good idea to respond, but especially when your quarterback (Justin Fields) is sacked four times and primary running back (Najee Harris) averaged 1.5 yards a carry.
