PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) Pitt Panthers football have found themselves in a good spot on the national scale through their first 10 games of the season.

As the season begins to wind down and Bowl selection draws closer, a lot of eyes have been turned to quarterback Kenny Pickett.

Thanks to Pickett's stellar play, Pitt has reached the top of the ACC and is ranked 20th nationally with two weeks left in the regular season.

Pickett has put the team on his shoulders that there are valid arguments for him to be nominated for this years' Heisman Trophy.

While the Heisman Trophy voting is still to be decided, Pickett has already been announced as a finalist for a different award.

The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award; An award given annually to the top upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class.

Pickett is one of five finalists: Ole Miss's Matt Corral, Wake Forest's Sam Hartman, NC State's Devin Leary, and Cincinnati's Desmond Ridder.

With a quarterback rating of 84, Pickett has only thrown four interceptions all season with a 68% completion rate (260 of 385).

Through those 260 completions, Pickett has thrown for 3,517 yards.

It was with those yards that Pickett set himself as Pitt's all-time leading passer.
