Khan: 'All options are on the table' at QB but Steelers prefer Wilson or Fields

Calling the way his team finished the season “unacceptable”, Steelers General Manager Omar Khan said, while meeting with the media at the Combine in Indianapolis Tuesday, “we know we have to be better.”

“That can’t happen again,” added Khan, who immediately jumped into the Steelers quarterback situation.

Khan, much like owner Art Rooney II said after the season, the team is open to re-signing either quarterback Russell Wilson or Justin Fields.

He said that he has been in contact with both representatives for Fields and Wilson.

“Ideally, I’d like to sign one of the guys that we had last year, but the reality is they are both free agents so, until we get one of those guys under contract, all options are on the table,” said Khan.

Khan adds they'd like to have a QB under contract when the new league year starts on March 12.

With all options available, that means we’ll continue to hear speculation about players like Matthew Stafford and any other quarterback that could be on the move this offseason.

But, most likely, the Steelers will sign either Fields or Wilson as their starting QB in 2025.
