Konnor Griffin could soon be the top prospect in baseball

Baseball America has him #2, MLB Pipeline ranks him 13th

The latest MLB Pipeline Top 100 is out and three Pirates have made the list.

Two of the three names are in the top 15.

Right-handed pitcher Bubba Chandler is ranked 5th overall behind Roman Anthony (Boston), Chase Burns (Cincinnati), Leo De Vries (San Diego) and Sebastian Walcott (Texas).

Infielder/outfielder Konnor Griffin is ranked 13th overall, skyrocketing up the list from 31.

Left-handed pitcher Hunter Barco is ranked 80th.

The 22-year-old Chandler is currently 2-2 in Triple-A Indianapolis over 16 starts with a 3.38 ERA.

Taken in the 3rd round of the 2021 draft, MLB.com predicts Chandler will make his MLB debut before the end of the season.

19-year-old Griffin, the 9th overall pick last year, was batting .338 over 50 games in Low-A Bradenton and is currently batting .343 over 18 games in High-A Greensboro.

He has an OPS of .983 with three home runs and 12 RBI with the Grasshoppers. His ETA to Pittsburgh is 2027.

Barco, who was promoted to Triple-A this season is 2-1 with a 3.69 ERA over 8 starts with the Indians.

The 24-year-old has 40 strikeouts and 18 walks over 31.2 innings in Triple-A. He has an ETA of 2026.

Infielder Termarr Johnson dropped out of the top 100, previously 79.

Baseball America has two Pirates in the Top 10.

Griffin is 2nd, Chandler is 10th.

Griffin could soon be the #1 prospect in all of baseball with Roman Anthony of the Red Sox expected to graduate from the list soon.
