L.A. Rams release WR Cooper Kupp

A big potential Steelers wide receiver target has hit the market.

According to multiple reports, including NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Cooper Kupp is being released by the Los Angeles Rams.

The move comes after the Rams were unable to find a trade partner.

Kupp announced in early February that L.A. told him they would be seeking a trade.

There was talk before the trade deadline that the Steelers could be in the mix for Kupp, but the Rams began winning and secured a playoff spot.

Kupp hasn’t played an entire season since 2021 and started 11 games with the Rams this past season. He missed time with an ankle injury.

He had 710 yards in 2024 with six touchdowns. He hasn’t had 1,000 yards or more in a season since 2021. BUT, he hasn't played an entire season since then.

While Kupp isn't the player he once was, along with DK Metcalf and George Pickens in the room, the Steeles wide receivers would be much improved over 2024.
