The WPIAL Championships wrapped up this weekend with 12 games at the Petersen Events Center, which brought out some massive individual performances on the big stage.

This season, KDKA Radio will again nominate players each week to join the KDKA Radio Super 7 Awards watch list. Every Monday, a new crop of players will be unveiled based on their efforts that previous week. At the end of the year, KDKA Radio will announce the winners of the award for each WPIAL boys and girls classification, as well as the Pittsburgh City League.

Here are the top performances from Week 13:

Luca Federico, Chartiers Valley

No one flew as high as Federico in the WPIAL Championships this past weekend.

After putting up 13 points in the semifinals earlier in the week, the 6-foot-7 sophomore scored 31 points, grabbed eight rebounds, snagged three steals and blocked two shots in Chartiers Valley’s 66-37 win over Thomas Jefferson in Saturday’s Class 5A boys title game.
