According to a report, Steelers cornerback Joe Haden is looking for a contract extension.
Haden’s agent Drew Rosenhaus “has approached the team regarding an extension for his client, who is now going into the last year of his contract,” said ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“Joe wants to finish his career with the Steelers if possible,” said Rosenhaus.
That news a day after several reports said that Haden was looking for an extension.
The 32-year-old is going into his 12 season in the NFL and fifth with the Steelers.
Haden spent his first seven seasons with the Cleveland Browns until he was released on August 30, 2017.
He was picked up by the Steelers and has performed well at a position the Steelers have struggled at.
After an injury to Marcus Peters, Haden was named to his third Pro Bowl last season and finished 2020 with five interceptions, 65 tackles, 17 passes defended along with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Haden is in the last year of his contract and will make $7 million and delivers a $15,575,000 cap hit.
