PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) Should the Pittsburgh Pirates bring a former All-Star, MVP, and fan favorite outfielder back into the fold?

The Philadelphia Phillies announced on Wednesday that they declined club options for the 2022 season on multiple outfielders, one of them being Andrew McCutchen.

Shortly after turning 35, McCutchen will be hitting the free agent market following three seasons in Philadelphia.

Since leaving the Pirates after the 2017 season, Cutch has hit for a .244 average in 1,759 plate appearances.

363 hits, 67 homeruns, and 208 RBIs; McCutchen fought through injuries and a COVID shortned season in the back half of his career.

The Pirates' faithful still loves the player and has gotten an ovation nearly every at bat he has made in PNC Park since departing.

McCuthen reuniting with the Pirates is something the fans are sure to get behind, could the front office in Pittsburgh be on the same page?

Within minutes of the Phillies announcement on Twitter, McCutchen stated through a tweet of his own that he isn't done with the game, yet.
