PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It’s another step closer for Minkah Fitzpatrick to return on Sunday against the Cardinals. The Pro Bowl safety practiced full for a second consecutive day on Thursday.
Fitzpatrick had been out since a hamstring injury early in the game against Jacksonville.
“Any time you have a leader back, a communicator back, a play-maker back, it’s always a good thing,” said linebacker Elandon Roberts. “Minkah is one of the heartbeats of the defense. When he went down, he was still right there with us in meetings.”
Also back full on Thursday, defensive lineman Montravius Adams, who is dealing with an ankle injury. All the players who were given days off on Wednesday-Allen Robinson, Patrick Peterson, Isaac Seumalo and Cam Heyward-returned to full practice.
Quarterback Kenny Pickett downplayed his ankle injury after practicing full on Wednesday. He practiced full again on Thursday.
Receiver Diontae Johnson was sent home and missed practice due to illness.
One more practice before the Steelers host Arizona.
