PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – A few more linemen visiting the Steelers on Thursday, this time on both sides of the ball. What to know about an Oklahoma offensive tackle and Northern Iowa defensive tackle.

Tyler Guyton

The 6’7”, 328-pound redshirt junior is at first an attraction as someone who played right tackle last season, although it was his only season at the position. Reach is an advantage for the 6’7” Guyton, but has the agility to get out in space as a run blocker and according to Pro Football Network has the patience and discipline in the pass game as well. Their evaluation of Guyton says he struggles at times with smaller players getting underneath him.

Guyton began is career as a defensive lineman at TCU before transferring to the Sooners. Most mock drafts show Guyton in the second round, but the catch is this-he might be a stretch at 20, but gone by the time the Steelers draft in the second round.

Khristian Boyd

Boyd is coming off making a name for himself at the Shrine Bowl as the Northern Iowa star was not invited to the NFL Combine. He’s 6’4”, 317 pounds and more of an inside than outside presence at defensive tackle. He was a Phil Steele Second Team FCS All-American after 6.5 tackles for loss as part of 43 total in 2023. He’s known for his work ethic and benched 225 pounds, 38 times at his Pro Day. He also was signed up for 15 official visits with NFL teams.
