The 20-year-old is 6’5”, 225 pounds and burst on the scene as a part of the UNC rotation as a freshman, but MLB.com says scouts aren’t sure about him because his stuff may have leveled off. He doesn’t have a power fastball, riding 91-94 per MLB.com but he sequences his pitches well and throws a lot of strikes. He was rated as the 133rd best pick.
He went 11-3 in 19 starts in 2026 striking out 99 and walked 42 in 97.1 innings with a .239 batting average against and 2.87 ERA.
