PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – NFL made It official Wednesday morning that the Steelers will play the Saints in the first NFL regular-season game in Paris. The game will be at the same 80-thousand-seat stadium (Stade de France) that hosted the Summer Olympics two years ago on October 25 at 9:30a EST.

"We're honored to represent the Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL in the League's first-ever game in Paris this upcoming season," said Steelers President Art Rooney II on the team website. "Playing the New Orleans Saints in such a historic setting is a great opportunity to showcase the NFL's global growth and to connect with fans around the world. It's an exciting moment for our organization and for Steelers Nation everywhere."

“There are certain teams that have a cultural connection to certain countries,” said Manti Teo on the NFL Network during the schedule announcement. “The Saints have this French connection. As a former Saint, things that resonate with us in New Orleans, obviously a lot of French roots.”
