PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – A pair of former Steelers agreed to contracts elsewhere, both started games last year.
Defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi goes the AFC East champion Buffalo Bills on a one-year contract worth $8 million, all guaranteed according to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. Ogunjobi was released two days ago and saved the Steelers $7 million on the salary cap. The 30-year-old fought through a couple injuries in starting 45 of 48 games in three seasons with the Steelers with six sacks, 132 tackles, including 15 tackles for loss. The previous season before coming to Pittsburgh, he had seven sacks for Cincinnati.
Receiver Van Jefferson played in 17 games, starting 12 and finishing with 24 catches for 276 yards and two touchdowns. Jefferson was a willing blocker and now joins tackle Dan Moore with the Tennessee Titans. Reports from Turron Davenport the contract for the 28-year-old is one-year, $2.5 million.
