It's never too early to get ready to Spring Training.
The Pirate announced their 2022 Spring Training schedule on Wednesday.
Their first game of the Grapefruit League will be on Saturday, February 26 against the Tampa Bay Rays at LECOM Park in Bradenton, FL.
That is the first of a total of 34 scheduled games for the Bucs in Spring Training with 17 taking place at home.
Other highlights of the 2022 Spring Training campaign include a game March 5 at LECOM against the New York Yankees.
The Pirates will play the Mets in a Spring Training/exhibition game on March 15, marking the first time the Bucs had played the Metropolitans since 2001 at PNC Park.
The Pirates will welcome the Detroit Tigers to LECOM on St.
Patrick's Day (March 17).
The final game of the Grapefruit League season will be against the Atlanta Braves on March 29.
Tickets and prices will be made available at a later date.
The Bucs will open the regular season on March 31 at PNC Park against the division rival St. Louis Cardinals.
That marks the first time since 2016 the Pirates have hosted a true Opening Day.
