Pirates Unveil Bold Black & Gold City Connects

The Pirates have unveiled their brand-new City Connect jerseys through Nike.

The all-black jerseys with a gold “Pirates” across the chest, features the Bucs logo on the sleeve in a circle with PGH and 1887 (the year the Pirates were founded. with two swords replacing the crossed bats outside of the circle.

The hat the Pirates will wear is gold with a black rim and the Pirates logo with crossing swords.

The red of the Pirates’ bandana is incorporated into the Nike “Swoosh” on the jersey and the New Era logo on the hat.

The Pants are all-black with a gold stripe on the sides.

The Pirates will be wearing the jerseys on Friday night’s at PNC Park beginning on April 17 against the Tampa Bay Rays.

In a type video narrated by former pitch A.J. Burnett, he says, “when we wear black, they know we mean business.”
