Pirates open up 2025 home schedule against Yankees for first time in history

While we are only halfway through the 2024 campaign, the 2025 Pittsburgh Pirates schedule is out.

The season ill once again kickoff on March 27 when the Bucs travel to Miami to begin the season with a four-game set against the Marlins, just like they did this year.

They’ll then stay in Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Rays for three games.

After a day off, the Pirates open the 2025 home schedule against the New York Yankees and Aaron Judge, for three games, April 4-6. It will be the first time the Pirates open their home schedule against the Yankees in team history.

The Yankees were last at PNC Park in mid-September 2023, winning 2 out of 3 games.

They’ll then wrap up the opening homestand with three games against the division-rival St. Louis Cardinals.

The Pirates also will welcome the Cleveland Guardians in April, Houston Astros to begin June, Texas Rangers in mid-June, Blue Jays in July and the A’s come to town for the last three home games of the season September 19-21, 2025.
