The Pirates will have to wait another day to start their second half of the season.
Due to lingering smoke from the Canadian wildfires affecting most of the Great Lakes area, the Pirates game in Cleveland will be played as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday.
The Pirates and Guardians will play game one at 1:10 p.m. and the second game is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
There was hope the smoke would move out of the Cleveland area in time for the game, with the Pirates even releasing a starting lineup, but ultimately it was postponed.
