Wilson was designated for assignment after the Pirates signed left-handed pitcher Jarlin Garica.

Wilson started 20 games for the Pirates last season with a 3 and 9 record and a 5.52 ERA over 115.2 innings pitched.

Debuting with the Atlanta Braves in 2018, Wilson has a career 9 and 17 record with a 5.54 ERA over 43 starts and 232.1 innings pitched.

Wilson was traded to the Pirates during the 2021 trade deadline along with RHP Ricky DeVito for pitcher Rich Rodriguez.

DeVito is currently playing for the Pirates High-A Affiliate Greensboro Grasshoppers.

In 2022, DeVito went 3-6 with a 5.40 ERA.
